Wuhan, abbreviated as "Han" and known as the Jiangcheng, is the capital of Hubei Province and a central city in the Middle China area. With its advantageous geographical position, Wuhan serves as an important industrial and educational base in the country, earning the title of "Nine Provinces Thoroughfare." The convergence of the Yangtze River and its largest tributary, the Han River, creates a distinctive tri-city formation of Wuchang, Hankou, and Hanyang, showcasing the unique charm and cultural depth of this city.
While modernized, Wuhan still retains a warm and inviting atmosphere. This city not only values its traditional culture but is also constantly open to new developments. When one thinks of culinary delights in Wuhan, there may be an immediate association with hot dry noodles, yet coffee has quietly blended into the daily lives of Wuhanians alongside traditional snacks, constructing the city’s vibrant food culture. As we approach 2025, the CAFEEX Coffee Exhibition will commence in Wuhan, supporting the city’s coffee development.
The story of coffee in Wuhan dates back over a decade when a group of coffee enthusiasts began their exploratory journey in this city. Although the coffee market at the time was not yet mature, these pioneers faced challenges head-on, and their persistence has led to significant results; some have become representative figures of local coffee, while others unfortunately did not sustain. Presently, as renowned coffee chains like Manner, M Stand, and Tims have opened shops in Wuhan, alongside a growing number of independent cafes, the coffee market's potential cannot be underestimated.
The CAFEEX Coffee Exhibition is set to debut in 2024, marking the first themed exhibition focused on the coffee industry in Wuhan, inviting exhibitors and visitors from across the country to experience and feel the pulse and coffee culture of this city. The exhibition will cover coffee and beverages, baking raw materials, packaging solutions for baked products, baking equipment, home baking products and production facilities, as well as related laboratory and testing equipment, providing a platform for industry professionals and enthusiasts to communicate and collaborate.
