2026 Guizhou Health and Retreat Industry Expo

The 2026 China (Guizhou) Health and Retreat Industry Integration Development Conference and Expo will take place from September 18 to 20, 2026, at the Guiyang International Conference and Exhibition Center. The event aims to promote the deep integration of culture, tourism, sports, and health, accelerating Guizhou's transition from pure sightseeing tourism to a more comprehensive retreat lifestyle. The theme of this conference is "Healthy Guizhou, Livable Blessed Land - Promoting the Integration of Culture, Tourism, and Health through Enjoyable Retreat Living," creating a unified communication and cooperation platform for government, industry, academia, research, and use to help Guizhou build itself into a significant retreat tourism destination nationwide.

In recent years, the health and retreat industry in Guizhou has been experiencing significant growth, driven by supportive policies. The national "Healthy China 2030" planning outline has provided foundational guidance for industrial development. The provincial government has made clear the direction for developing the retreat industry through a series of reforms in land supply, financial services, and housing provident funds, promoting areas like urban retreats, rural stays, and health-focused vacationing with a focus on tangible economic outcomes. By 2025, Guizhou is expected to receive over 2.3 million tourists, with a significant portion engaging in medium- to long-term stays.

This year's expo will cover an area of over 20,000 square meters, with 600 exhibitors expected to participate and approximately 5,000 attendees, alongside around 30,000 expected visitors. The exhibition will feature four main thematic zones: regional features, health retreats, innovative cultural and sports health products, and traditional Chinese medicine health. It will showcase wellness bases, retreat communities, rural guesthouses, ethnic medicine, outdoor sports, and cultural tourism innovation projects.

Various forum events will be held, including forums focusing on retreat real estate and asset management, rural retreat community operations, and the integration of ethnic medicine and health. The expo will also feature interactive activities such as the "Colorful Guizhou" cultural tourism media experience day, AI health retreat interactive experiences, free traditional Chinese medicine health experiences, and popular influencer live sales, all aimed at increasing participation, enhancing engagement, and promoting investment and consumer transformation.

Furthermore, exhibit areas will include showcases for smart elderly care, rehabilitation aids, and age-friendly housing and architectural design, aimed at providing better living and service options for the elderly while also displaying Guizhou's remarkable achievements in integrating traditional medicine, cultural tourism, and modern technology.
