The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in 1957 and is the oldest and largest international trade fair in China. Held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, it attracts a multitude of buyers from around the world. The 138th Canton Fair is scheduled to take place from April 15 to May 5, 2025, with an exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters.

This year, over 31,000 enterprises are expected to participate, boasting close to 73,000 exhibition booths. It is anticipated that nearly 290,000 overseas buyers from 219 countries and regions will attend, representing a 17.3% increase from the 135th Canton Fair held in spring 2024. Additionally, the number of overseas buyers participating online will reach 527,185, covering 229 countries and regions globally. The cumulative online visits to exhibitors’ stores have reached 4.3737 million, underscoring the Fair's significant role in promoting international trade.

In order to expand imports and promote trade balance, the Fair has incorporated an import exhibition since the 101st session, assisting international enterprises in exploring market opportunities. The import section of the 138th Canton Fair will feature over 700 enterprises from 50 countries and regions, showcasing a variety of products including daily ceramics, household goods, kitchenware, and more.

The Canton Fair serves not only as an exhibition platform but also as a crucial channel for fostering trade cooperation between countries, highlighting China’s vast product variety and rich manufacturing capabilities. Through this event, businesses from different nations can gain a better understanding of each other’s market needs and trade opportunities, promoting robust international economic collaboration.
