The Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center is situated in the core launch area of the Hangzhou Airport Economic Demonstration Zone. It boasts a total construction area of approximately 1.34 million square meters, featuring 12 exhibition halls and 18 exhibition spaces with a net exhibition area of about 300,000 square meters. Upon completion, it will rank fifth in the nation in terms of net exhibition scale. The first phase of the project covers a construction area of 640,000 square meters, with a net exhibition area of 155,000 square meters, comprising 8 exhibition halls and 10 exhibition spaces (Halls 1#, 2#, 3#, 4#, 5#, and 8# are single-level, while Halls 6# and 7# are double-level). The second phase is arranged in a semi-enclosed fan shape, consisting of 4 exhibition halls and 8 double-level exhibition spaces.
The Conference Center (Hall 1) is primarily designed for conferences, banquets, and thematic exhibitions. It houses 7 meeting rooms, including a vast 7,000-square-meter column-free multifunctional conference hall, 4 medium-sized meeting rooms, and 2 small meeting rooms. The large multifunctional conference hall can accommodate 5,000 attendees or host a banquet for 3,500 people, equipped with large screens, simultaneous interpretation systems, stage lighting, and other professional facilities. It can also be flexibly partitioned into 5 meeting rooms of varying sizes.
The Event Center (Hall 5) is mainly used for performances, entertainment, and corporate annual meetings. It features tiered seating and movable chairs, capable of hosting large-scale events for over 7,000 people. The Central and East Registration Halls on the ground floor include gathering lobbies that handle registration for exhibitors and visitors, alongside spaces for inquiries, storage, and assistance. The second floor of the lobby houses exhibition centers, business centers, and offices, while the third floor contains VIP rooms and a press conference hall. The central corridor, 25 meters wide, connects all exhibition halls and serves as the hub for internal pedestrian traffic, exhibition management, and services. Offices with independent entrances are available on the first to third floors of the exhibition halls.
The commercial supporting facilities cover a total area of approximately 106,000 square meters, with about 49,000 square meters in the first phase, mainly concentrated in the central corridor and the underground level. These facilities provide comprehensive support, catering to diverse needs such as dining, leisure, and study during and outside of exhibition times. The center is complemented by a four-star InterContinental Holiday Inn with 351 guest rooms, and plans are underway for a five-star Hilton hotel in the second phase. Within a 3-kilometer radius, there are already several star-rated hotels including the Airport Hyatt, Yingguan Wyndham, Airport Radisson, and Hangzhou Airport Holiday Inn, as well as business hotels like Jinjiang Inn, Atour, and Kaiyuan Manju, offering over 3,600 rooms. Within a 30-minute drive, there are more than 6,000 hotel rooms available.
