2026 9th Shanghai International Agricultural Products Expo

General Secretary Xi Jinping has always placed great importance on the "three rural issues"—agriculture, rural areas, and farmers—within the context of building a modern socialist country. The most challenging tasks remain in rural areas, necessitating concerted efforts from the entire party and society to promote rural revitalization and to accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. A strong nation must have a strong agricultural sector; a strong agriculture is fundamental to national strength. Industrial revitalization is the foundation and key to comprehensive rural revitalization, while brand building is an effective means to cultivate rural industries, promote high-quality agricultural development, and expand the industrial economy.

To implement Xi Jinping's important discourse on the "three rural issues," enhance rural revitalization, and strengthen agricultural brand building, the "9th National Quality Agricultural Products Expo" (Shanghai Agricultural Products Expo) will be grandly held in Shanghai from November 10 to 12, 2026.

This year's Expo centers on the theme of "Strengthening Agriculture Through Brands and Ensuring Quality and Fair Prices," aiming to build a professional, market-oriented, and brand-oriented platform for the production and sale of agricultural products. The event seeks to promote quality agricultural products from across the country into Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta, thereby supporting the supply of high-quality green agricultural products, advancing agricultural brand construction, improving pricing for premium agricultural products, and ultimately broadening farmers' channels for increasing income and wealth.

The last Shanghai Agricultural Products Expo attracted more than 500 brand enterprises from over ten provinces (municipalities), with attendance exceeding 40,000, leading to significant trade cooperation and procurement outcomes. As a leading agricultural exhibition in Shanghai, this Expo is expected to attract over 600 quality enterprises. The event will feature forums such as the Agricultural Brand Innovation Development Forum and procurement matchmaking events, along with various activities including an agricultural industry investment promotion meeting, brand promotion, award ceremonies, excursions to agricultural parks, and tasting and exchange meetings.

Exhibits will include regional public brands, grain and oil products such as rice and rice products, assorted grains, edible oils, and fresh corn; livestock and poultry products including beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and halal meat; processed meat products; egg and dairy products; various fruits, vegetables, and produce; prepared dishes; edible fungi; and all six major tea categories along with local specialties and beverages.
