2025 Second Forum and Expo on the Integrated Development of the Marine Energy Industry

The ocean is a crucial area for safeguarding national security, and constructing a strong marine nation is of utmost importance for achieving the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. General Secretary Xi Jinping places a high emphasis on the construction of a maritime power, having delivered important speeches and issued significant instructions surrounding marine affairs, highlighting that "building a maritime power is a major strategic task for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation."

The energy industry is closely related to national economic and livelihood security as well as national security, and a strong energy nation is a solid material foundation for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. During the twelfth collective study session of the Central Political Bureau, Xi Jinping pointed out the necessity of coordinating the development of new energy alongside national energy security, strongly promoting the high-quality development of new energy, and gradually advancing the cooperation of the new energy industry chain to provide safe and reliable energy guarantees for Chinese-style modernization. In the context of building a maritime power, an energy power, and our new strategy of energy security, the development and utilization of marine energy have become imperative, serving as a significant historical mission assigned to the marine and energy sectors in the new era.

To deeply implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the new development concept and the new energy security strategy, assist in building a strong marine and energy nation, and promote the progress of marine energy development and utilization, with the strong support of many relevant institutions, the Qindao West Coast New Area Administrative Committee and the Marine Energy and Equipment Construction Branch of China Pacific Society will co-host the "2025 Second Forum and Expo on the Integrated Development of the Marine Energy Industry" in Qingdao in May 2025.

This year's Marine Energy Conference will focus on the theme of "New Technologies, New Business Models, New Dynamics - Advancing the Development of New Productive Forces in the Marine Energy Field," adhering to the concepts of collaboration, integration, and leapfrogging.
