The 2026 Xinjiang Cultural and Tourism Industry Trade Expo aims to promote the specialization and modernization of Xinjiang's tourism industry and enhance cooperation and exchanges between Xinjiang and other provinces and cities. The expo will be held in Urumqi from March 27 to 29, 2026, jointly organized by the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Tourism Association, the Xinjiang Travel Agency Association, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Tourism Association, and the Xinjiang Tour Guides Association. In parallel with the expo, the Xinjiang Cultural and Tourism Industry Development Summit Forum and the Xinjiang Spring Cultural Tourism Resource Matchmaking Conference will be held.
The expo features six major exhibition areas, including cultural tourism destination services, information technology in tourism, accommodation and camping, travel services, tourism equipment, and cultural tourism products. It invites tourism enterprises from Xinjiang and across the country to participate, showcasing a wealth of cultural tourism resources.
In the Tourism Brand Pavilion, there will be an exhibition area for countries along the Silk Road to promote international cultural tourism resources; exhibition areas for various provinces and cities showcasing their cultural tourism resources in Xinjiang. Additionally, there will be dedicated exhibition areas for cultural tourism entities from Xinjiang and the Production and Construction Corps, featuring resources from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region's Department of Culture and Tourism, and tourism bureaus from various regions. The Cultural Tourism Promotion Pavilion will feature large domestic OTA enterprises and major tourism investment groups from Xinjiang to promote their offerings, while the Cultural Tourism Products Area will showcase original cultural and tourism products from Xinjiang as well as innovative products from around the country.
The Tourism Consumption Pavilion will exhibit resources from major tourism service providers, including domestic and international attractions, hotels, travel agencies, and vehicle rental companies. The tourism planning area will primarily showcase comprehensive tourism planning and design agencies, while the Smart Tourism area will showcase advanced smart tourism technology and information platforms. The New Tourism Equipment area will feature accommodation solutions, amusement rides, and landscape lighting, while the Hotel Supplies and Equipment area will showcase information management equipment for hotels, bedding, cleaning equipment, and disposable supplies.
The Cultural Relics Technology Hall is another highlight of this expo, featuring areas for cultural institutions, exhibition design, cultural technologies, and digital heritage displays. Additionally, the Cultural Relic Protection and Restoration Area will present related techniques, equipment, and achievements.
Through this expo, the Xinjiang cultural tourism industry will face significant development opportunities and platforms that promote cooperation and exchanges between various regions, collectively advancing the sustainable development of Xinjiang's cultural tourism industry.
