To implement the strategic decisions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on advancing the new industrialization strategy and fostering the integration of technological and industrial innovation, the '2025 Innovation Development Conference and Exhibition on Laser Manufacturing and Additive Manufacturing' will take place from October 18 to 20, 2025, at the National Convention Center Phase II in Beijing.
Laser manufacturing and additive manufacturing are among the fastest-growing sectors in advanced manufacturing, characterized by active research and high attention. Supported continuously by the national key R&D plans during the 13th and 14th Five-Year Plans, this field has rapidly developed, achieving international parity in technology and exceeding a trillion in industrial scale, with an annual growth rate exceeding 20%. This conference aims to promote the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, accelerating the establishment of new production forces by gathering academicians, experts, scholars, local government officials, enterprises, and investment institutions to share the latest research findings, innovative applications, and industry development prospects.
The conference will feature a series of themed activities, including an opening ceremony with a main forum, multiple parallel forums, and an exhibition. The opening ceremony is expected to invite leaders from national departments to address the attendees, while renowned academicians will provide keynote reports at the main forum.
The parallel forums will focus on various topics such as laser technology, interaction between laser and materials, ultrafast laser manufacturing, and laser surface engineering, among others. Additionally, the exhibition will be divided into five themed zones showcasing laser equipment, laser manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and significant technological innovations. Various stakeholders, including universities, research institutions, and enterprises, will be invited to participate, promoting the transition from research achievements to commercialization.
Moreover, the exhibition will feature the 'Annual Innovation Technology Achievement' and 'Annual Innovative Industrial Product' awards to stimulate creativity and entrepreneurship. Attendees can expect to see a diverse range of laser devices and materials, including laser marking equipment, cutting lasers, and 3D printing machines, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the latest technologies and applications in the laser and additive manufacturing sectors.
