The Beijing International Convention Center (BICC) was established to support the Asian Games and benefit from the Olympic legacy. It was the first member of the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) in China and has been awarded the title of "Best Conference Venue" by the Beijing Tourism Bureau. The Beijing Wuzhou Hotel, a four-star hotel, is part of the complex, offering comprehensive services including meetings, exhibitions, accommodations, dining, and business services.
The center enjoys a prime location in the heart of the Olympic Business District, adjacent to the Olympic Center. It is within walking distance of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. The total building area is 60,000 square meters, with over 50 meeting rooms of various sizes, an exhibition area of 6,000 square meters, and office space of 15,000 square meters. It is an ideal venue for international and domestic conferences, exhibitions, cultural exchanges, business activities, and office use.
In recent years, the center has hosted major events such as the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the National People's Congress, the World Mind Sports Games, the 2014 APEC Summit, the 2015 Beijing World Athletics Championships, the China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services, the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, among others. To date, the center has hosted over 20,000 events, welcoming nearly 10 million guests from around the world and earning a high reputation in the industry.
The Beijing International Convention Center has been repeatedly recognized as one of China’s top 10 convention venues and has received multiple honors, including the "2009 Capital Civilization Unit," the "ICCA 23-Year Member Honor Award," and the "China Brand Exhibition Venue of the Year."
