The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Auto Show and the China New Energy Vehicle Technology Exhibition was formerly known as the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau International Auto Show." It was officially upgraded to the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Auto Show" in 2020. Rooted in the core engine of the Bay Area—Shenzhen, the auto show radiates to the “9+2” city cluster, with an economic total exceeding 13 trillion yuan and a population of over 86.17 million. This grants the auto show a significant indicator status in China's automotive industry and consumer market.

With the brand proposition of "Facing Technology, Facing the Future, and Facing the Market," the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Auto Show serves as a strategic platform for numerous automobile brands to showcase new concepts, technologies, and products. It holds authority and influence, particularly in the fields of luxury cars, new energy, and intelligent vehicles, making it a leader nationwide.

In 2025, the 29th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Auto Show will be grandly held from May 31 to June 8 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Baoan), continuing the theme of "Facing Technology, Facing the Future, and Facing the Market" and focusing on “New A Exhibition - Technology Alpha Auto Show” as its core direction. The event will spotlight innovations and technological trends in the automotive industry, engaging eco-partners across the entire industry chain to jointly expand a new paradigm for smart development in high-quality automotive industry.

Reflecting on the milestones of 2024, the scale and capability of the auto show saw a dual leap. For the first time, it will utilize a venue of 200,000 square meters, gathering around 200 companies or organizations from complete vehicle manufacturing, smart networking, parts and technical services, and academic research. This forms a collaborative innovation matrix of R&D, products, and applications. The exhibition is set to showcase over 1,000 advanced vehicle models, attract 860,000 visitors, and achieve over a billion yuan in reserved transactions, showing a full commitment to building the industrial chain collaboratively and reflecting the industry’s development trends and the dynamic market of the Greater Bay Area.

The exhibition features a variety of types of vehicles, including passenger vehicle areas, commercial vehicle areas, special vehicle areas, and modified vehicle areas, as well as areas for automotive assemblies and their components. There are also sections for automotive electronics, supplies, and accessories, automotive manufacturing equipment and process technology, as well as instruments and equipment for automotive testing, testing, and experimentation. Computer development design systems and application technologies will also be showcased along with new processes and materials in the automotive industry. Services related to the automotive sector will include used cars, automotive financing, insurance, maintenance, clubs, driving schools, and publications. Additionally, there will be an automotive club culture display area showcasing the culture, philosophy, services, and activities of various car clubs, as well as automotive finance services from banks and insurance companies, featuring luxurious consumer goods such as mansions, yachts, jewelry, luxury watches, and golf. This all highlights the diversified development of the automotive industry.
