2025 China International Digital Economy Expo

The 2025 China International Digital Economy Expo will be held from October 17 to October 19 at the Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center (Zhengding). The Hebei Province attaches great importance to this expo, using it as an important means and platform to deepen cooperation in the digital economy, lead industrial transformation, and showcase the achievements of digital Hebei.

This year's event, themed "Empowering Industrial Development with Trusted Data", is co-hosted by the Chinese Association of Inventions, China International Association for Science and Technology Development, Chinese Information Association, and Xinhua News Agency, while co-organized by China Exhibition (Hebei) Digital Technology Company and Hebei Xiong'an Policy Research Think Tank Company. The goal is to actively unleash the value of data elements, enabling high-quality development across various sectors of the economy. The core content is varied and covers the entire industrial chain, including the opening ceremony, keynote forums, comprehensive exhibitions, result releases, pitch presentations, and investment negotiations. The aim is to create a comprehensive digital economy event that combines “conferences, exhibitions, competitions, performances, interactive experiences, and business attraction”.

The expo adopts a model that combines offline meetings with online live streaming, providing immersive experiences and enabling global "cloud participation" through streaming platforms to cater to diverse audience needs. The main framework consists of “One Conference, One Exhibition, One Exchange, and One Competition”, featuring the 2025 Data Industry Ecosystem Conference and the sixth China International Digital Economy Expo opening ceremony, showcasing the latest trends and R&D results in the digital economy sector.

The exhibition consists of four major pavilions covering a total exhibition area of 32,000 square meters. Pavilion 1 is themed around "Empowering Industrial Development with Trusted Data," showcasing data policies, empowerment case studies, and infrastructure achievements. Pavilions 2 to 4 form a "Smart Integration Multifunction Pavilion," focusing on innovative applications of digital technology across industries, daily life, and energy sectors.

The exchange activities involve the 2025 Data Industry Ecosystem Conference, the 2025 Chief Data Officer Summit, and multiple professional seminars, providing a platform for industry communication. Additionally, competitions for youth innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as drone skills, aim to support outstanding project implementations and cultivate practical talent for the drone industry.

On the global dissemination front, led by Xinhua News Agency, a communication matrix integrating online and offline, as well as central, local, and industry media, will be established to enhance the expo's impact. The organizing committee is in the process of inviting over a hundred key guests, including government officials, academicians, industry experts, representatives from digital economy enterprises, and international organizations to share their international experiences and promote cooperation between China and foreign countries.

To ensure a high-quality event, comprehensive upgrades in aspects of exhibition promotion, operation services, and public relations have been executed. An “1+2+N” operational model has been introduced, establishing a digital twin platform to facilitate regular supply-demand connections and result conversion, shaping a never-ending exhibition platform. The expo will also strategize its position to avoid homogeneous competition with similar events while ensuring safety measures with the formation of seven task groups to provide ancillary services such as catering, accommodation, and transportation, as well as emergency plans.

During the expo, the 29th National Invention Exhibition and the “Belt and Road” and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition will also take place, further showcasing the effectiveness of digital innovation technology in promoting industrial transformation. The opening ceremony and themed forums will focus on cutting-edge topics such as the Metaverse, quantum information, independent innovation, digital currency, and various other innovative developments in the digital economy, complemented by thematic pavilions that highlight diverse applications and achievements in digital technology.
