2026 The 6th China (Zhengzhou) International Solar Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Industry Exhibition

The 2025 Central Document No. 1 explicitly proposed to "strengthen the development and utilization of distributed renewable energy in rural areas." As an agricultural powerhouse, Henan plans to add 56GW of distributed photovoltaic installations by 2027 and construct 1,000 "integrated source-grid-load-storage" projects to transform rural areas from "energy consumers" to "energy producers." Henan boasts excellent lighting conditions with an average annual sunshine duration exceeding 2,000 hours; in the southern regions, this can exceed 2,200 hours, providing optimal conditions for photovoltaic power generation, with annual power generation efficiency steadily increasing. The photovoltaic energy storage industry in Henan is set to welcome new opportunities in 2025, with a plan to promote distributed photovoltaic installations exceeding 20 million kilowatts, supporting the installation on commercial rooftops, public facilities, and private homes, while encouraging the development of integrated solar storage and charging projects in parking lots and highway service areas. The global energy storage market is entering a new golden age where technological iterations accelerate and market demand continues to expand.

The 5th China (Zhengzhou) International Solar Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Industry Exhibition took place from April 14-16, 2025, attracting 38,689 visitors and an estimated transaction volume of 2.86 billion yuan, marking a hallmark event for the renewable energy industry in the central and western regions of China. The ZZSOLAR exhibition has showcased an impressive display of vibrant development in the renewable energy sector, especially for the six central provinces over five consecutive years. As a global leader in photovoltaic energy storage, China not only ranks first in production capacity but also demonstrates strong growth momentum in technology. Henan's geographic advantages are profound, with an extensive transportation network, being a hub for both conventional and high-speed railways, facilitating effective logistics.

As a prominent base for the photovoltaic industry, Henan has developed a comprehensive industrial chain encompassing silicon materials, battery cells, components, and energy storage applications, forming industrial clusters centered around cities such as Kaifeng and Luoyang. Given the immense demand for and potential of distributed energy in Henan, the ZZSOLAR exhibition plays a vital role in promoting the booming energy storage industry in the central and western regions of China. Scheduled for April 16-18, 2026, the exhibition will be held at the "second largest exhibition hall in Asia," Zhengzhou Aviation Port Central International Convention and Exhibition Center, alongside the 8th China (Zhengzhou) International New Electric Power and Intelligent Energy Industry Exhibition. This exhibition will feature four major pavilions, covering an area of 40,000㎡, with an expectation to attract over 600 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors.
