Located on the east bank of Xuanwu Lake, a national 5A scenic spot, and at the western foothills of Zijin Mountain, the venue is a large-scale, multi-functional, intelligent facility integrating exhibition, conference, tourism, wedding, catering, and commercial leisure. It stands as a landmark building and city card of Nanjing.
The Nanjing International Exhibition Center has been awarded titles such as "China's Top Ten Brand Exhibition Centers", "Satisfactory Venue for National Exhibition Organizers", "China's Top Ten Excellent Exhibition Centers" (one of ten nationwide), "China's Exhibition Brand Venue", "China's Excellent Service Exhibition Venue Award", and "China's Excellent Brand Exhibition Center". It has also consecutively won the title of provincial and municipal civilized unit four times. In May 2020, it obtained international certification from UFI (Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), and in December 2024, it received international certification from ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), becoming the only enterprise in Nanjing without a hotel but possessing dual certifications from both UFI and ICCA, marking a significant step forward in the internationalization process of the National Exhibition Center.
The Center covers an area of 111,100 square meters, with a construction area of approximately 120,000 square meters. It boasts an indoor exhibition area of 35,000 square meters and a conference area of 6,800 square meters. Additionally, two outdoor exhibition venues are located on the east and south sides of the main building, covering an outdoor exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. The China International Exhibition Center is equipped for large-scale conferences. On the third floor, there is a pillar-free multi-function hall covering nearly 3,000 square meters, suitable for hosting large-scale international seminars, exchange meetings, lectures, and press conferences for up to 3,000 people. It can also accommodate cocktail parties, buffet receptions, large-scale evening events, various celebrations, and large wedding banquets for over a thousand guests. The hall is equipped with a large LED screen and can be divided into three independent areas as needed. On the third floor, there is also a 1,400 square meter observation hall, suitable for hosting various dining and exhibition activities. The conference floor of the exhibition hall features nine business negotiation rooms, capable of hosting various forms of conference negotiation activities for 20 to 160 people.
As an important platform for the convention and exhibition economy in Nanjing, the International Exhibition Center has hosted nearly 3,000 exhibitions since its completion and operation in 2000. These include a series of large and medium-sized exhibitions with international and domestic influence, such as the 6th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, the International Procurement Conference of Multinational Retail Groups, the China Tourism Trade Fair, the National Crafts Trade Fair, the China Hospital Information Network Conference and China Medical Information Technology Application Exhibition, the Jiangsu Copyright Expo, the Nanjing International Art Exhibition, and the National First-Level Competition for Vocational Skills in the Fire Protection Industry. These exhibitions have made significant contributions to driving the economy of Nanjing.
