Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. was established in November 2019. It was transformed from a public institution, the Exhibition Department of the Beijing Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The company was founded with funding from Beichen Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and is a state-owned enterprise at the secondary level under the Beijing municipal government.

The Beijing International Exhibition Center was originally founded in 1985 under the name of the Exhibition Department of the Beijing Branch of the CCPIT. In 2008, it was approved by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Institutional Reform to become a public institution with legal entity status. It is currently a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (UFI), a vice-chairman unit of the China Exhibition Association, and a council member of the Beijing International Conference and Exhibition Association.

Since its establishment, the center has hosted a variety of large-scale international exchange events, exhibitions, and conferences, commissioned by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and the Beijing CCPIT. These events have been completed with excellent results and have received widespread praise. Notable events include: the Beijing Week at the 2005 Aichi World Expo, the Beijing Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the 2014 APEC Beijing Business Exhibition, the Beijing Pavilion at the Shenzhen Cultural Industries Expo from 2014 to 2018, the Guizhou Big Data Expo from 2015 to 2021, the 2021 Zhongguancun Forum (Sci-Tech Expo), and the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).

Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. actively utilizes market resources to engage in international exhibition services related to international trade in services. Since its founding, the company has collaborated with relevant government ministries and industry organizations both domestically and internationally. It has successfully organized over 300 international exhibitions, such as the China Refrigeration Exhibition and the China Transport Exhibition, attracting over 75,000 companies from more than 40 countries and regions, including key enterprises in various sectors and world-renowned brands. In addition to hosting or co-hosting international exhibitions in China, the company has also organized exhibitions and international trade fairs for Beijing-based businesses in more than 30 countries and regions across five continents, contributing to greater mutual understanding between Beijing and the world, and facilitating the growth of foreign trade.

After its transformation into a corporate entity, Beijing International Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. will continue to leverage its institutional and resource advantages, striving to further develop Beijing's exhibition sector into a branded, professional, and international platform.
