The Shanghai Automotive Exhibition Center is a large-scale professional exhibition venue jointly invested and developed by Shanghai Expo (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai International Auto City Development Co., Ltd. Completed and put into operation at the end of 2005, the center boasts a total construction area of over 60,000 square meters, with 30,000 square meters dedicated to exhibition space and an additional 30,000 square meters for conference, office, and supporting facilities, accommodating 1,628 standard booths.
Located within the Shanghai International Auto City’s Auto Expo Park, the center was designed by the renowned German architectural firm IFB, incorporating the relationship between nature and movement as its core design concept. Its distinctive curved structure and glass curtain walls seamlessly integrate the outdoor landscape with the indoor space, blending harmoniously with the surrounding buildings, greenery, and water features to form a cohesive environment.
The Shanghai Automotive Exhibition Center consists of two twin exhibition halls on the north and south sides, along with a central conference complex. The spacious and column-free twin halls provide exceptional flexibility for various events. Additionally, the venue includes a 4,000-square-meter central hall, 14 meeting rooms, 3 VIP rooms, a 20,000-square-meter lawn, and a 5,000-square-meter outdoor plaza, making it an ideal setting for exhibitions, conferences, and large-scale events.
The center benefits from convenient transportation links, being close to the Hongqiao Transportation Hub, allowing for easy access via both private and public transport. This prime location enhances its appeal as a preferred venue for exhibitions, product launches, and even music festivals.
