Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) was jointly invested and constructed by Shanghai Lujiazui Exhibition Development Co., Ltd. and German Exhibition Group International Co., Ltd., whose members include Deutsche Messe AG, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, and Messe München GmbH. As a Sino-German joint venture exhibition center, SNIEC has grown into one of the most influential large-scale exhibition centers in China.
SNIEC features 17 single-story, column-free exhibition halls, with an indoor exhibition space of 200,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition space of 100,000 square meters. Since its opening in 2001, SNIEC has achieved steady growth, hosting around 100 renowned exhibitions annually and attracting over 7 million visitors from around the world. Its successful operations highlight the crucial role of the exhibition economy in the rapid development of China and the East Asian economic region.
