The Chifeng International Conference and Exhibition Center project commenced planning and design in October 2005, broke ground on April 15, 2006, and entered its operational phase on July 31, 2008. It comprises three main sections: the Conference Center, the Exhibition Center, and the Professional Theater.
The center spans a total area of 78.6 acres, with a gross building area of 37,500 square meters. The Exhibition Center, covering 18,000 square meters, can accommodate 700 international standard booths and is capable of hosting large and medium-sized professional exhibitions. The Conference Center, spanning 19,000 square meters, features over 20 meeting rooms of various styles that can accommodate 10 to 1,200 people. It caters to a range of conference functions, including VIP receptions, academic presentations, press conferences, government discussions, and simultaneous interpretation. With state-of-the-art digital lighting systems, German HK sound reinforcement systems, LED high-definition displays, retractable stages, and other professional stage design facilities, it stands as one of the most professional performing arts venues in the eastern region of Inner Mongolia.
Apart from hosting large-scale professional performing arts events, it also undertakes the reception tasks for important government meetings such as the "Two Sessions," "Party Congress," and "Spiritual Civilization Conference" in Chifeng City. It is the only large-scale multi-functional hall in Chifeng City. The outdoor plaza, covering 28,000 square meters, features a music fountain, parking lot, green landscape belt, and other ancillary facilities, making it suitable for hosting large outdoor exhibition events.
Currently, Chifeng City has the foundation and conditions for developing the cultural industry, and the Conference and Exhibition Center has become a powerful platform for promoting the development of Chifeng's cultural industry. Since being commended and awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Collective" for the 5th Inner Mongolia International Grassland Culture Festival and the 3rd Hongshan Culture Festival by the Chifeng Municipal Committee and Municipal Government in 2008, the Conference and Exhibition Center has successively received honorary titles such as "Demonstration Unit" for the city's cultural construction work, "Top 10 Potential Exhibition Venues in China" in 2008-2009, "Top 10 Training Institutions in 2009 Frontier Jintan Award", "Top 10 Innovative Exhibition Venues in China in the New Century", "Advanced Unit in Corporate Culture Construction in China", "Quality and Service Dual Satisfaction A-Level Unit", "Excellent Exhibition Venue Management Award in China for 2011-2012", "Integrity Demonstration Enterprise in 2013", and "National Women's Civilization Post" in 2015.
