The Global Licensing Expo - Shanghai Station (LEC), hosted by Informa Markets, serves as a prominent platform for facilitating effective connections between IP copyright holders and agents across various licensing categories, including anime characters, film, cultural and artistic heritage, online literature, entertainment, gaming, publishing, corporate brands, and sports. Since its inception in 2017, the Global Licensing Expo has successfully held six editions, expanding in scale from the initial area of 10,463 square meters to an impressive 35,000 square meters in 2023 (Halls 2.1 & NH).

The seventh edition in 2025 represents a significant milestone as it will extend to two exhibition halls (Halls 1.1 & 2.1), with an anticipated exhibition area of 48,000 square meters, featuring over 400 exhibitors and more than 1,800 IPs. The range of exhibited categories is extensive, including anime, film/TV, online literature, gaming/entertainment, sports/e-sports, cultural and artistic heritage, fashion/trendy products, publishing, corporate branding, online video, character representation, celebrities, music, non-profit organizations, and universities. This event provides ideal opportunities for IP holders, manufacturers, licensees, and retailers to engage and collaborate.

Known globally, the Licensing Expo has been successfully held in Las Vegas, Shanghai, and London, showcasing its international prestige. Informa Markets also publishes the influential magazine 'License Global', reinforcing its leadership in the licensing industry.
