2025 10th China International Copyright Expo

The 10th China International Copyright Expo will be held from October 16 to 18, 2025, at the International Exhibition Center (Laoshan Hall) in Qingdao, Shandong Province. This expo is organized by the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) and jointly hosted by the Shandong Provincial Copyright Administration and the Qingdao Municipal People's Government. Established in 2008, this is the only comprehensive, international, and national-level copyright fair in China, and it has been held biennially in various cities including Beijing, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Chengdu, successfully completing nine editions so far.

The expo serves as an important platform for showcasing copyright achievements, activating copyright trading, promoting the conversion of copyright value, and facilitating Sino-foreign copyright exchanges. Organizing this expo is a robust measure of learning and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on culture and intellectual property. It is also a proactive step toward accelerating the construction of a culturally strong socialist nation in the new era. Given that this year marks a key transition between the completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the planning of the 15th, as well as a year significant for deepening reforms, hosting this expo is of great historical importance.

Officials from the Qingdao Municipal Government noted that Qingdao's selection as the host city for the first time reflects trust in its governance and presents a valuable opportunity. This year's expo will focus on the theme "Digital Intelligence Leading the Future, Copyright Innovative Development" and will highlight continuous expansion in scale and scope. This includes the strengthening of domestic development alongside international influence, synergy between national and local exhibitions, and the integration of cultural heritage with contemporary characteristics. Additionally, leveraging Qingdao's unique cultural resources and advantages to bolster copyright cooperation and promote cultural globalization will be key aims of this expo. The event will prominently display the substantial achievements of copyright in empowering high-quality economic and social development.
