IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) has always been committed to creating opportunities for its members to meet, network, and learn from one another. IAAPA President and CEO Hal McEvoy stated that due to the ongoing uncertainties affecting international and domestic travel, the IAAPA Board made the thoughtful decision to adjust the 2021 IAAPA Asian Expo to be held in Shanghai, China. This adjustment aims to provide more opportunities for exhibitors and attendees.
Founded in 1918, IAAPA is the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement attractions, boasting over 6,000 members across more than 100 countries and regions. Its members include professionals from amusement parks, theme parks, attractions, water parks, resorts, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, science centers, and museums, as well as manufacturers and suppliers for the attractions industry. The goal of IAAPA is to unite the global attractions industry, helping industry professionals to connect, grow together, and strive for the highest standards of safety and excellence.
The expo will feature a wide range of attractions and related services, including entrance and payment equipment, coin-operated machines, computer systems/software, food and beverage offerings, interactive gaming equipment, and more, aimed at fulfilling the diverse needs of attractions and amusement facilities. IAAPA's global headquarters is located in Orlando, Florida, with offices in Belgium, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Mexico City, and Alexandria, Virginia.
