The exhibition is organized by the Shanghai International Trade Promotion Commission and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, with the Shanghai International Exhibition (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Auto Show Management Co., Ltd. as the main organizers, and the Munich Exhibition Group as the German co-organizer. It also receives special support from the China Machinery Industry Federation and assistance from the China Society of Automotive Engineers.
The 2025 Shanghai Auto Show is expected to cover an exhibition area of 360,000 square meters. The schedule is as follows: April 23 and 24 are designated as media days for domestic and foreign news outlets; April 25 and 26 are for professional visitors; and from April 27 to May 2, the exhibition will open to the general public.
The theme for this year’s show is "Embracing Innovation, Winning the Future." Under this theme, the organizers will host the 2025 Global Automotive Leaders Closed-Door Summit at the InterContinental Hotel in the National Exhibition and Convention Center on April 22. Leaders from government departments, industry organizations, and globally renowned automotive and technology firms will gather to discuss the current status and future of the automotive industry, share market insights and trends, and contribute to promoting high-level open cooperation in the global automotive sector.
With the emergence of a new digital era, the automotive industry is presented with unprecedented opportunities. The expo will highlight various categories of passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, new energy vehicles, and intelligent connectivity technologies, including new automotive design concepts, autonomous driving systems, charging equipment, and hydrogen energy solutions. Additionally, automotive safety systems, electronic systems, automotive financial services, and more will be showcased to reflect the latest developments in the industry.
On this new journey, the Shanghai Auto Show will continue to act as a proactive participant in automotive technology innovation and a contributor to high-quality development, constantly fostering collaboration and resource sharing in the spirit of "embracing vastness and pursuing excellence," thereby contributing wisdom and strength to the future development of the global automotive industry!
