In September 2020, President Xi Jinping announced at the 75th United Nations General Assembly that China aims to achieve carbon peak before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060, demonstrating the country’s strategic commitment to green and low-carbon development. Achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality has become a hot topic of discussion across various industries, particularly in the construction sector, which is a significant source of carbon emissions. The construction industry faces issues such as high resource consumption, significant pollution emissions, and inefficient construction practices. According to the "China Building Energy Consumption Research Report (2020)," in 2018, the energy consumption for the entire process in the building sector accounted for 46.5% of the national energy consumption, and carbon dioxide emissions constituted 51.3% of the total national emissions. Therefore, energy-saving and emission-reduction efforts in the construction field are crucial.

The 2022 Green Building Fair will continue to adhere to the theme of "Green Low Carbon, Energy Saving Transformation," deeply implement the concepts of green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, and accelerate the green transformation of the traditional construction industry. The exhibition will cover building materials, prefabricated construction, and the operation and maintenance of facilities throughout their lifecycle, striving to promote the low-carbon development of the entire industry chain of green buildings.

Exhibition Information
The 2025 Green Building Fair will maintain the theme of "Green Low Carbon, Empowering High-Quality Housing," introducing the "Building +" curatorial concept, which integrates modern architecture with various other industries (such as industrial, elderly care, cultural tourism, new rural construction, and commercial) to support high-quality industry development. The exhibition is planned to cover an area of 30,000 square meters, with an expected participation of 350 exhibitors and more than 50,000 professional visitors, attracting a wide range of professionals including government departments, industry associations, research institutions, developers, design institutes, construction units, and decoration companies, aiming to build a comprehensive connection platform for the green building materials industry.

Various thematic forums will be held during the fair, focusing on topics like innovative building energy-saving design, renewable energy utilization in buildings, and elderly-friendly design trends, expecting to attract over 2,000 attendees. This will provide industry professionals with opportunities for in-depth interaction and discussions leading to new development and collaboration ideas. The successful previous Green Building Fair in Shanghai in 2024 has laid a solid foundation for the current fair, gathering nearly 500 brand enterprises and tens of thousands of visitors, establishing a strong platform for promoting green building and energy-saving technologies. Through this fair, we hope to introduce more innovations and solutions for the development of the construction industry, aiding in achieving the goals of low carbon and high quality.
