The 2025 China (Guangxi) - ASEAN Mining Cooperation Conference and the Guangxi International Mining Exhibition will take place from May 21 to 23 at the Nanning International Convention Center in Guangxi, with the mining exhibition running from May 22 to 25. The theme of the conference is "Deepening 'Belt and Road' Cooperation for High-Quality Development of China-ASEAN Mining," aiming to invite high-ranking officials from ASEAN and countries participating in the 'Belt and Road' initiative, diplomats, leaders from international research institutions, and renowned scholars to discuss and exchange ideas on mining development.
The conference will include an opening ceremony and will be organized into six thematic seminars, including promotional activities and cooperative discussions with ASEAN countries, dialogues and collaborations with significant mineral resource enterprises, and discussions on mining transformation and green development, with more than 20 important activities planned, focusing on topics like AI and natural resources, mining technology development and application services, satellite remote sensing, and international mining talent training.
This year's conference places particular emphasis on Malaysia and Vietnam, with special promotional events for these two ASEAN countries and seminars focusing on the development of enterprises in rare earths, bauxite, and ferrous metals, aiming to enhance cooperation for Chinese enterprises in ASEAN and 'Belt and Road' countries. During the conference, Guangxi aims to sign strategic cooperation agreements with certain ASEAN mining authorities and explore a long-term collaborative mechanism between China and ASEAN in geology and satellite remote sensing.
Regarding the exhibition, there will be over 200 display booths, with invitations sent to no less than 100 domestic and international companies. The focus will be on showcasing mining equipment, new mining technologies, new materials, and new products. The exhibition will feature a series of events, including technical exchange meetings and product promotion fairs, aimed at facilitating the mining development and project agreements between China and ASEAN countries.
The China (Guangxi) - ASEAN Mining Cooperation Conference has been successfully held 12 times, welcoming approximately 12,500 guests and featuring about 3,470 participating enterprises. It has facilitated 1,407 project negotiations and 172 contract signings, with a signing amount exceeding 68 billion yuan, reaffirming its role as a vital platform for promoting high-quality mining development in the region.
