The 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo is scheduled to take place from June 12 to 15, 2025, in Changsha, Hunan. The main venue is located at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center, with sub-venues set at the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Park (Hunan Gaoqiao Market) and the Xiangtan Central International Machinery Park. This year’s expo will focus on the theme of "China-Africa Cooperation for Action, Pursuing Modernization Dreams," and will feature a larger exhibition space of 100,000 square meters, enhancing the proportion of professional exhibits. It will showcase the results of China-Africa industrialization and agricultural modernization cooperation.

The expo will include specialized exhibition areas centered around clean energy, energy conservation, traditional medicine, cross-border e-commerce, modern agricultural machinery, and engineering machinery. An innovative addition this year is the inclusion of a well-known brand exhibition for China-Africa cooperation, inviting influential Chinese enterprises and brands active in Africa to participate, thus enhancing mutual recognition and influence.

This year’s expo emphasizes economic and trade attributes, innovation, and effectiveness, aiming to transition from "exhibition traffic" to "economic and trade increment,” from "short-term activities" to "long-lasting mechanisms," and from "government-led" to "market-driven" approaches, ultimately striving to transform the expo into a global economic cooperation hub. Since its inception in 2019, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo has successfully held three sessions, covering 53 African countries and 31 Chinese provinces, attracting over 4,600 China-Africa enterprises and nearly 40,000 attendees, signing 336 cooperation projects with a total amount of 53.32 billion USD, becoming an important platform for promoting China-Africa cooperation.

The main expo will utilize six individual exhibition halls and an outdoor central square for displays, with approximately 80,000 square meters allocated for exhibits. During the exhibition, designated areas will be set up to provide venues for product launches, company presentations, supply-demand negotiation meetings, and project signing ceremonies for exhibitors and buyers. The sub-venues will primarily use the permanent exhibition halls of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, with the following specific exhibition areas: 1. Comprehensive Exhibition Hall – showcasing China-Africa economic and trade cooperation results; 2. African Enterprises and Products Hall – displaying African brand products and specialty agricultural products; 3. Chinese Enterprises and Products Hall – focusing on remanufacturing, health care, consumer electronics, etc.; 4. Local Chinese Provinces Hall – showcasing local economic achievements and key enterprises involved in cooperation with Africa; 5. Internal and External Trade Integration Hall – creating an integrated trading platform; 6. Outdoor Exhibition Area – showcasing large engineering machinery, agricultural machinery, and automobiles.
