The East China Import and Export Commodities Fair (referred to as "Shanghai Commodity Fair" or "华交会", with the official website "www.ecf.org.cn") is an international trade event co-hosted by nine provinces and cities, including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing, and Ningbo. As one of the largest regional trade fairs in China with the most participants and the widest reach, it has successfully held 32 sessions since its inception in 1991, establishing itself as a significant symbol in the international trade community.

The 32nd session of the fair was grandly opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, covering an exhibition area of 126,500 square meters and featuring a total of 5,720 booths. It included four major specialized theme areas: clothing and accessories, textile fabrics, household goods, and decorative gifts. In addition, there were special areas for overseas exhibitors and cross-border e-commerce to meet the diverse needs of presenting companies. This year's fair attracted buyers from 111 countries and regions, with over 40,000 domestic and international buyers in attendance, generating a transaction volume of $2.21 billion.

The opening ceremony focused on the theme of "Focusing on Quality Improvement and Promoting High-Quality Development of Foreign Trade" and featured speeches from key figures, including Zhu Min, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Zhang Xian, Vice President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council. Industry leaders from the China Light Industry Crafts Import and Export Chamber and other organizations also shared their insights.

The products showcased at the fair span across clothing and accessories, textile fabrics, decorative gifts, and household goods, particularly targeting the markets of Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia, thereby attracting a substantial number of domestic and international trade buyers. The fair serves not only as a platform for product display but also as a bridge for cooperation and exchange among businesses from different countries, aiding in the development of global trade and commerce.
