The 12th World High-Speed Rail Conference will grandly open on July 8, 2025, at the National Conference Center, led by the BCC (Beijing Chaoyang Group). This conference serves as a significant platform to showcase and discuss the levels and achievements of global high-speed rail development. First held in Beijing in 2010, this is the second time the conference returns after 15 years, organized in collaboration with the National Conference Center project team and the hosts. The conference is co-hosted by the China State Railway Group and the International Union of Railways (UIC), themed "High-Speed Rail: Innovative Development Makes Life Better." It will feature over 30 events, including opening and closing ceremonies, roundtable discussions, and technical exchanges, focusing on the latest technologies and achievements in high-speed rail planning, construction, technical equipment, and operations. Additionally, an “Innovation Tour” and technical visits will be organized at the National Railway Testing Center, with participation from international railway organizations, global large railway corporation managers, and well-known high-speed rail experts.

Held concurrently, the 17th China International Modern Railway Technology and Equipment Exhibition is the largest railway industry exhibition in Asia, taking place in both the National Conference Center and the National Railway Testing Center, with a total exhibition area of 40,000 square meters. The National Conference Center will feature 16 themed exhibition areas, including the China Railway Achievement Exhibition Area and the Railway Innovation Alliance Exhibition Area, showcasing the latest technologies and operational achievements domestically and internationally. The outdoor exhibition area at the National Railway Testing Center features a parking line length of 5,500 meters, primarily showcasing real trains, including Electric Multiple Units (EMUs), locomotives, and comprehensive high-speed testing trains.

This year’s exhibition will be organized around various railway specialties, covering the latest technologies and products in the railway sector. Additionally, a rich array of themed activities will be organized to help exhibitors and visitors efficiently acquire more opportunities for communication and negotiations with enterprises from relevant fields and the supply chain, thereby enhancing the success rate of collaborations. The seven main professional sectors include: Locomotives and Rolling Stock, Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection, Civil Engineering/Infrastructure, Maintenance and Repair, Communication and Signal, Safety Assurance, and Intelligent/Information Technology. Each sector will display advanced technologies and equipment within the industry. Furthermore, there will be rich themed exhibition areas such as the Railway Operation and Development Achievement Area, Design Consultation Area, and Rail Transit Intellectual Property Area, which will group relevant companies together to enhance the exhibition effect.

The distinctive areas for China State Railway Group and Railway Bureau will highlight the achievements and innovations in the development of China Railway as it meets high-quality development requirements, taking on the historical mission of becoming a strong transport country with railways at the forefront, and will promote various forms of technical exchanges and business matchmaking activities to facilitate the matching and application of advanced results.
