Founded in 1986, the BIBF has grown into the second-largest book fair in the world and is currently the most influential book fair in China, as well as the most internationalized book fair in Asia. Each year, the event attracts over 2,600 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and regions around the world, showcasing an extensive range of books, digital media, and comics.

BIBF is more than just a book fair; it is an important platform for promoting copyright transactions and physical import and export trade. The fair features numerous exhibition areas, including the International Comprehensive Pavilion, the International Copyright Center, the International Children's Book Pavilion, the Beijing International Book Festival, the Picture Book and Related Products Exhibition Zone, the Domestic Comprehensive Pavilion, the Professional Pavilion with Guest of Honor, the Technology Integration Pavilion, and the Cultural and Creative Products and Library Distribution Pavilion, all demonstrating a rich array of publications and related products.

At this diverse event, publishers, authors, and book enthusiasts come together to share experiences, negotiate collaborations, and promote reading culture. Whether professionals or casual readers, everyone will find their interest area at the BIBF and experience the charm of the world of books.
