The Beijing-Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition (referred to as "BEW") is jointly organized by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the Welding Branch of the society, the China Welding Association, the German Welding Society, and the Messe Essen GmbH from Germany. It is one of the world's renowned welding exhibitions, attracting tens of thousands of professionals from the domestic and international welding industry each year, including dealers, agents, research institutions, government departments, management, and procurement sectors.

Having successfully held 28 sessions, BEW has been expanding in scale year after year. With an increasing number of new exhibitors including major companies like Panasonic, General Motors, KUKA, HuGong, Han's Laser, and Kawasaki, the quality and standard of the exhibition has been ensured. The 28th Beijing-Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition had an exhibition area of 80,500 square meters, with a net exhibition area of 39,201 square meters, featuring 822 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, including 36 international exhibitors. During the exhibition, it attracted a total of 45,285 visitors from 104 countries and regions.

Visitors primarily come from industries such as machinery manufacturing, pressure vessels, automobile manufacturing, railway locomotives, oil pipelines, shipping, and aerospace. Over 100 media outlets have provided extensive coverage of the exhibition through various channels, including industry magazines, related exhibitions, and the internet.

As the largest and most influential welding event, BEW aims to integrate resources to provide both export and domestic trade platforms for domestic and international welding manufacturers. During the exhibition, government departments, experts, scholars, and manufacturers will hold seminars on new product technologies, welding forums, and technical discussions, providing a comprehensive communication platform for industry professionals.

Exhibits cover a wide range of areas: arc welding equipment, beam welding equipment, laser welding equipment, cutting devices, welding materials, robotic systems and more, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovative products, helping to optimize welding processes. Offering solutions for various welding and cutting needs ensures the advancement and environmental sustainability of welding technology.
