Shanghai, as a key development hub for the unmanned aircraft industry in East China, published the "Action Plan for Building a Future Industry Innovation Highland" in September 2022, intending to create future space industry clusters in regions like Pudong, Yangpu, Minhang, Jinshan, Songjiang, Qingpu, and Chongming. The East China Drone Base in Jinshan District is one of the first national experimental zones for civil unmanned aerial vehicles, covering an area of 55,000 square meters and encompassing various sectors of the drone industry, providing fertile ground for rapid low-altitude economic development.
To cultivate new productive forces for the low-altitude economy and build a new ecological development pattern for it, the "2025 Shanghai International Low-altitude Economy and Unmanned Systems Expo" will be held from June 11 to 13, 2025, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The exhibited categories will include the R&D and manufacturing of aircraft, construction, and operation of low-altitude flight infrastructure, and comprehensive flight service guarantees across various industries and application scenarios. The organizing committee aims to establish a professional and effective international platform for product and service showcasing, business negotiations, and technical exchanges for practitioners in the low-altitude economy, facilitating its high-quality development.
During the expo, various forums will be held, including the International Low-altitude Economic High-quality Development Forum, the Drone Industry Summit Forum, the Autonomous Vehicle and Robotics Forum, and the International Flight Training Seminar, focusing on cutting-edge industry discussions and interactive technical communication. It will connect industry frontline experts, providing rich content to deliver the latest and most comprehensive industry information to professionals and the public.
Attendees will include representatives from various sectors like aviation, aerospace, weaponry, shipping, and numerous other fields, gathering thousands of professional visitors to share in the low-altitude economy purchasing event. The showcased sectors will span from specialized low-altitude economic areas, including multifunctional drones, eVTOL aircraft, low-altitude logistics services, medical assistance, emergency response, and other applications. The unmanned systems supply chain will also cover technologies and equipment across power and energy, materials, navigation and communication, control systems, and more, presenting a comprehensive view of the industry.
This expo not only serves as a major showing for the low-altitude economy but also acts as a valuable opportunity for technical exchanges and collaborations across industries, promising to bring rich resources and opportunities to participating companies and professional visitors.
