Putian Convention and Exhibition Center commenced construction on March 23, 2018, and was completed on September 20 of the same year. With a total floor area of 109,377 square meters, it stands as the largest single-structure public building in Putian. The center consists of a main exhibition hall and two annex buildings, featuring a three-story prefabricated steel structure design with a building height of 23.935 meters, showcasing exquisite modern construction techniques.
This multifunctional modern venue is equipped with a grand auditorium capable of accommodating over 3,000 people, suitable for hosting various conferences, exhibitions, and cultural performances. It also includes multiple smaller meeting rooms to accommodate events of different scales, dedicated exhibition spaces for trade shows, and banquet halls for celebrations and receptions. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the center served as a temporary command center for epidemic prevention and control, providing essential accommodations for medical staff and volunteers—fully demonstrating its social value as a critical public facility.
