The Baotou International Convention and Exhibition Center is a representative project for the cultural industry development of Baotou’s municipal government. It was constructed by the Qingshan District and is an important architectural complex in the Baotou New Urban Sports and Exhibition District. The center is located on the west side of Jianhua Road, south of Jianshe Road, and east of Genghis Khan Ecological Park, covering an area of about 200 acres with a total building area of approximately 90,000 square meters.
Exhibition Center with building area of 58,000 square meters, that consists of 6 exhibition halls:
- 4 halls of 5,832 square meters each.
- 2 halls of 3,402 square meters each.
The exhibition center hosts a variety of large-scale exhibitions, including events such as the Manufacturing Equipment Expo and the International Auto Show.
Conference Center, with building area of 15,000 square meters, that features 32 meeting rooms, including a report hall, business negotiation rooms, and a press conference hall. It provides high-quality conference and business services.
Grand Theater, with building area of 17,000 square meters, that has two levels of seating and can accommodate 1,500 people. Equipped with advanced sound, light, and video equipment, it is suitable for performances and large conferences.
Since its opening in August 2012, the Baotou International Convention and Exhibition Center has hosted a total of 440 exhibitions and conferences. The center has played a significant role in boosting the regional economy and enriching the cultural life of Baotou residents. The center is situated in the new administrative district under construction, benefiting from convenient transportation. The north side of Jianshe Road is a major city artery. It is located:
- 6.5 kilometers from Baotou Airport.
- 10 kilometers from Baotou Railway Station.
