China National Convention Center is located in the heart of Beijing’s Olympic Park, adjacent to the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. It was invested in and constructed by Beijing Beichen Industrial Co., Ltd. and is currently the largest convention center in Asia. The center covers a total area of 12 hectares, with a total building area of 530,000 square meters. The building is 400 meters long from north to south, 150 meters wide from east to west, and has an eaves height of 40 meters.
The National Convention Center played a vital role during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, serving as the venue for the Fencing Hall, International Broadcast Center (IBC), and Main Press Center (MPC). After the Games, the facility was renovated and officially began operations in November 2009. Since its opening, the center has hosted a large number of high-profile international conferences and exhibitions, becoming the leading brand of China’s rapidly growing convention and exhibition industry, and one of Asia’s most recognized venues.
The National Convention Center is equipped with a variety of conference and exhibition facilities, including numerous meeting rooms, exhibition halls, and supporting amenities. The conference area contains more than 100 meeting rooms, and the exhibition area spans 40,000 square meters. The center can accommodate over 20,000 people for meetings and can serve meals for over 15,000 attendees simultaneously. Additionally, the National Convention Center Hotel, with 420 rooms, is connected to the convention center and is just a 3-minute walk away.
The National Convention Center is conveniently located near Beijing’s Fourth Ring Road, approximately 25 kilometers from Beijing Capital International Airport, about a 30-minute drive. The center is easily accessible by public transport, with stations for Metro Line 8 and Line 15 located on-site, along with multiple bus routes passing through the area, making it easy to travel to the city center, train stations, and the airport.
