The Hong Kong Education & Careers Expo, organized annually by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, takes place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, aiming to provide students, graduates, and job seekers with a platform to understand the latest educational pathways and employment opportunities. The 2027 edition of the expo is scheduled from January 21 to 24, gathering over 720 exhibitors from various sectors, including local and overseas educational institutions, government departments, professional organizations, and private companies. These exhibitors will showcase a wide range of course options, training programs, and career development paths to assist attendees in planning their future careers.

During the expo, participants will not only gain comprehensive educational information but also have the chance to engage in a series of thematic seminars, workshops, and personal consultation services to delve deeper into the demands and trends of specific industries. This year, the expo will feature multiple educational days related to various countries and regions, inviting representatives from Mainland China, the USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand to introduce their local education systems and living conditions, providing potential study-abroad students with invaluable firsthand information and support.

Additionally, several thematic career days will cover diverse fields such as arts, banking and finance, and government and public services, attracting more young talent to various industries. To enhance communication in the job market, the expo will host a live recruitment segment, where many businesses and public sectors will accept job applications and conduct immediate interviews, expecting to offer nearly 2,000 job vacancies. The Labour Department and other organizations will also provide information regarding employment services and working holiday schemes to attract more participants.

Industry experts and successful professionals will share their workplace experiences to offer valuable guidance and advice to the youth. Through this array of activities, the expo not only provides job seekers with abundant employment resources but also builds a bridge for employers to find suitable talent.

Regarding local education, attendees will be able to explore information about universities and colleges in Hong Kong, including their course offerings, teaching characteristics, and admission requirements, with institutions such as Hong Kong Shue Yan University and Hong Kong Heng Seng University featured. Information about studying abroad, including that of overseas and Mainland China institutions, will also be presented, gathering consulates and authorized centers to provide insights on application procedures, admission criteria, and campus life in various popular destinations.

The lifelong learning segment will introduce diverse programs for personal enrichment and continuing education, covering areas such as KOL training, technological education, lifestyle enhancement, and language learning, helping the public improve their skills and competencies. The Youth Plaza will feature various nonprofit organizations that provide career planning and continuing education information, as well as opportunities for summer jobs, internships, and full-time positions. In terms of careers, many professional associations, government departments, and public/private entities present onsite will introduce numerous job openings, enabling job seekers to find suitable employment. The recruitment plaza will facilitate direct interaction between job seekers and employers, allowing applicants to interview on the spot, thus providing graduates, school leavers, and job seekers with valuable job guidance and opportunities.
