Meteorological modernization serves as a crucial support and strategic reliance for enhancing the accuracy of meteorological monitoring, forecasting, and early warning systems, strengthening meteorological service capabilities, solidifying the first line of disaster prevention and mitigation, empowering high-quality economic and social development, and ensuring national ecological safety. To further showcase and exchange the latest technological advancements in the meteorological industry, including developments in lightning protection technology and products, as well as to promote the transformation of meteorological science and technology outcomes to enhance the economic and social benefits of meteorology, the China Meteorological Society has scheduled the "19th National Meteorological Modernization Construction Technology Expo" (abbreviated as CMHE2026) to be held in Chengdu in May 2026. The theme for this expo is "High-level autonomy and self-improvement, empowering development with high quality and efficiency". Since its inception, the expo has received strong support from departments including the China Meteorological Administration, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Hydrology Bureau of the Ministry of Water Resources, and the International Association of Hydrometeorological Equipment Industries, all aided by relevant enterprises from both domestic and international sectors.

Leveraging Chengdu's robust industrial clusters and distinguished leading enterprises, the 19th expo will concentrate on showcasing the latest results and trends in meteorological modernization, aiming to provide opportunities for industry exchange and product display for enterprises in the fields of meteorology, hydrology and water resources management, lightning protection, and environmental monitoring, opening new windows for professionals to engage with the meteorological industry, and creating a new platform for deep integration and communication among industry, academia, and research.

We sincerely invite relevant entities from both domestic and foreign backgrounds to exhibit various advanced equipment, instruments, and new technologies related to artificial intelligence meteorological services, the low-altitude economy, disaster prevention and reduction, lightning protection, hydrometry and water resources, environmental monitoring, and other areas, as well as to present themed reports. During the expo, several seminars and discussions will be held, inviting experts to explore industry policies and technological trends. Relevant organizations are welcome to become co-organizers and support units for this expo and to participate in the organizational efforts for the 19th expo.
