2025 Second China-Kunming South Asia and Southeast Asia Power Industry, Solar Photovoltaic, Charging Station Facilities Exhibition

Yunnan Province serves as an essential gateway to South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean region, acting as a crucial point for the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Over the past decade, Yunnan has made significant strides in its energy sector, characterized as the fastest growth period in the province's century-long energy history. During this time, the average annual growth rate of the energy industry’s value added is around 9%, with total fixed asset investment surpassing 800 billion yuan. The rapid advancement of the energy sector has instigated profound shifts in the provincial economic structure while fostering a new landscape of “multi-wheel” economic drive.

With major hydropower projects realized, including the Wudongde, Baihetan, and Xiluodu hydropower stations, Yunnan's hydropower capacity has skyrocketed from 34.99 million kilowatts to 78.2 million kilowatts, ranking second in the country. Simultaneously, the development of clean energy has accelerated dramatically, with wind and photovoltaic power generation capacity witnessing a remarkable increase of 7.35 times. As of the end of 2021, Yunnan’s total power installed capacity reached 106 million kilowatts, of which clean energy exceeded 90 million kilowatts, thereby further solidifying Yunnan’s competitive edge in green energy.

Looking ahead, the “South Asia Southeast Asia International Power Industry Exhibition” will serve as a pivotal platform for the development of Yunnan's new energy power industry, gathering advanced intelligent power equipment and new materials and technologies from around the world, offering an international forum for trade and showcasing.
