The 2025 6th Shanghai Sylva International Wood Expo (SYLVA WOOD EXPO SHANGHAI 2025) will be held under the theme of "Integrating Global Resources and Sharing a Green Wood Industry Supply Chain." The event aims to facilitate in-depth exchanges between China's wood industry and international supply chains, promoting win-win trade. It will deepen the integration of 'bringing in' and 'going out' focusing on the latest developments in wood raw materials and auxiliaries. This expo serves as a platform for international buyers to understand Chinese products, while also allowing Chinese buyers to explore the latest products and cutting-edge technologies from around the globe.
One of the highlights of this year's expo is the collaboration with the China (Shanghai) International Furniture Fair (CIFF Shanghai) and the China (Shanghai) International Furniture Production Equipment and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition (WMF Shanghai), which will take place concurrently from September 9 to September 12, 2025, at the NECC Shanghai. This cooperation will provide a comprehensive trade and exchange platform for a global audience, covering the entire industrial chain of wood materials, furniture, furniture production equipment, and woodworking machinery.
The types of panels on display include North American woods (such as red oak, white oak, black walnut, cherry, ash, boxwood, alder, hard maple, walnut, and water birch), European woods (including rough-sawn beech, straight-grained beech, European birch, fir, and Scots pine), Southeast Asian woods (such as rosewood, fattywood, gamba bean, iron wood, rubberwood, and teak), Russian woods (including larch, water birch, and elm), Canadian woods (like spruce, hemlock, and pine), South American woods (such as Columbian mahogany, heavy wood, dragon phoenix sandalwood, Uruguayan rosewood, and red sandalwood), and African woods (like okoume, zebra wood, bloodwood, rosewood, sapele, and winged wood), in addition to New Zealand wood, Papua New Guinea wood, solid multi-layer boards, plywood, and laminated veneer lumber (LVL).
In terms of processed products, the expo will showcase engineered wood, sawn timber, treated wood, carbonized wood, wooden moldings, woodworking, and veneers. Wooden products such as wooden structures and staircases will also be featured. This exhibition will allow industry professionals to gain the latest information and technology exchanges, further promoting the development of the wood industry.
