The MTM Metal World Expo originated from the Shanghai International Metallurgical Industry Exhibition, founded in 1986, marking a remarkable milestone in its 40-year history. As the earliest grand event in the steel metallurgy industry held in China, the expo will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026, having witnessed the journey of China's steel industry evolving from rapid growth to high-quality development.

Scheduled for December 3-5, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the MTM Metal World Expo will be co-hosted by various authoritative organizations, with the expectation of over 1,000 top companies participating and 40,000 professional visitors in attendance. The exhibition will focus on eight major themes, including metallurgical industry, refractory materials, casting and forging, industrial furnace thermal processes, steel pipe industry, metal wire, titanium/magnesium/copper, and alloy materials, showcasing a wide array of exhibits.

In terms of metallurgical products and technologies, the expo will display raw materials such as ores, ferroalloys, and pig iron, along with auxiliary materials like metallurgical coke and refractory materials, offering a vast range of metal products, including metal plates, pipes, profiles, special steel, and various metallurgical chemicals and industrial lubricants.

Within the metallurgical equipment and technology sector, attendees will find advanced metallurgical mining equipment, iron-making, steel-making, and refining facilities, as well as cutting-edge casting and forging technologies, and non-destructive testing techniques.

The refractory materials section will present products suitable for the steel and non-ferrous metal industries, along with casting and forging applications, showcasing ultra-high temperature technologies and equipment aimed at reducing energy consumption and protecting the environment during use.

The casting section will exhibit various castings, casting equipment, materials, and molds. This expo not only serves as a grand event in the industry but also acts as a vital platform for promoting the sustainable development of China's steel industry. Join us to witness the next glorious 40 years of the Chinese steel industry together.
