12th Chengdu International Urban Modern Agriculture Expo 2026

The 12th Chengdu International Urban Modern Agriculture Expo is scheduled to be held from September 28 to 30, 2026. This significant event follows the 2026 Farmer's Harvest Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival, focusing on the latest advancements in agriculture, promoting the transformation of agricultural technological achievements, and facilitating substantial project investments and precise matching of production and sales. Organized by the Chengdu Municipal Government, the theme for this year’s expo is "Developing New Quality Productive Forces, Empowering Modern Urban Agriculture." The event will feature a format of "1 main venue + 3 sub-venues + Agricultural Cloud Exhibition" to vividly showcase the practical outcomes of rural revitalization.

The main venue at the Century City New International Expo Center will present five core exhibition areas including achievements in urban agricultural construction, new quality productive forces in agriculture, integrated industrial development, collaborative rural revitalization, and international and domestic agricultural cooperation, effectively demonstrating the achievements in the development of modern urban agriculture. The Xinjing sub-venue, located at the China Tianfu Agricultural Expo Park, will feature a giant ground art sculpture formed by colorful rice fields, shaped like the character "囍" (double happiness), attracting many visitors. A special food festival showcasing the Xinjing Yellow Spicy Fish will also enhance rural dining and cultural tourism consumption.

The Qionglai sub-venue will be located in the Tianfu Modern Seed Industry Park, showcasing the achievements of research institutions, brands of seed industry enterprises, and a market for harvest, thereby establishing a platform for production and sales matching and promoting high-quality new rice varieties from the upper Yangtze River basin. The Jintang sub-venue will be positioned at the Tianfu Mushroom Trading Center, hosting a series of activities, including a Jintang specialty product exhibition and a mushroom industry channel matchmaking meeting, to further develop the production and sales platform for edible mushrooms.
