In 2024, the total output of aquatic products is projected to reach 73.5759 million tons, with a steady overall development in the fisheries economy and remarkable achievements in high-quality development. Guangdong Province, known as a benchmark in China's fisheries, has the reputation of "watching China for global fisheries and watching Guangdong for China's fisheries." In 2024, Guangdong's total aquatic product output reached 9.6637 million tons, marking the highest growth in a decade, with marine fish culture accounting for nearly half of the national output, showcasing the fruitful outcomes of building a "blue granary."

To deeply promote the national direction for modern fishery development and implement the spirit of the Central No. 1 Document regarding agricultural high-quality development, the 12th Guangzhou International Fisheries Expo is scheduled to be grandly held from September 10 to 12, 2026, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

Continuing with the core positioning of "Gathering Fishing in Guangzhou, Expanding Business Worldwide," the exhibition area is expected to reach 50,000 square meters. It will gather over 650 domestic and foreign enterprises and attract buyers from 80 countries and more than 150 professional purchasing groups. The number of visitors on-site is expected to exceed 45,000, while the total online and offline traffic may surpass 30 million, allowing exhibitors to precisely expand their B-end and C-end customer bases. Marine Ranching Area: Involving marine (freshwater) ranch construction, artificial reef building, marine ranch equipment and tools, ecological restoration technologies, and recreational fishery equipment; 4.
